Hoboken’s Edge

A Newark photographer I recently started following was raving about the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway as a favorite walking route for her and her husband, and my partner’s been agitating for a more urban walk, so I dragged him over to Hoboken.

We started in Hoboken’s 9/11 memorial park, which is also near the old Hoboken Terminal of the Erie Lackawanna Railway, now a terminal of the PATH and several ferry lines.

And gulls. (Gulls, it turns out, are probably underrated as birds.)

There are also beautiful views of the city.

We didn’t stay very long — it was brutally cold and windy — but it was a pretty spot!

In fact, we saw snow falling to the north on our way home.
